KUALA TERENGGANU – The State Education Department is investigating an allegation by a Primary Five pupil that he was kicked by a teacher in a school in Cendering, here, on Wednesday.
Terengganu deputy education director, Hashim Mohd Zin, said he was now waiting for a full report on the case, including the health report of the teacher.
“If the teacher is found guilty, we will take appropriate action against him, including taking disciplinary action for violating the professional ethics for teachers,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Earlier, Wan Luqman Al-Hakim Wan Omar claimed he was kicked and stepped on the head by a male teacher after the teacher tried to break up a fight between him and his classmate in front of the school.
Hashim also advised students not to be afraid to go to school and to attend the school session as normal.
“We will make sure such an incident will not happen again,” he said. — BERNAMA
