KUALA TERENGGANU – A newly employed Bangladeshi labourer had a shock of his life when he found a dead newborn baby in a bag while cleaning the monsoon drain near the state public library.
As soon as Mohd Kobi Mohd Osman, 19, saw the newborn’s head pop out from the bag, he threw it back into the monsoon drain.


Saidul Islamazim Mohd Gulam Sofi ,35, who acted as a translator for Mohd Kobi, said the latter was very afraid, shaken and started to vomit.
A search for the newborn is now been conducted by the Fire and Rescue Department and the police.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department said they received a call at about 6.36pm regarding the incident.
The search operation is still ongoing using flood lights but expected to stop soon and will resume tomorrow. -thestaronline
