KUALA TERENGGANU – The man who failed in his bid to legally become a woman last week has been admitted to hospital following bouts of vomiting.

Mohd Ashraf Hafiz Abdul Aziz, 26, is believed to be suffering from severe tension.

He was rushed to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital here at about 3am yesterday after vomiting several times.

It is learnt Mohd Ashraf Hafiz has been warded at the Intensive Care Unit with low blood pressure.

His father Abdul Aziz Ahmad, 60, asked newsmen not to disturb his son as he was under close observation.

On July 18, the High Court here rejected his application to change his status as a woman.

Mohd Ashraf Hafiz, who was not present in court at the time, also wanted his name changed on his birth certificate and MyKad to that of Aleesha Farhana Abd Aziz.

Justice Datuk Mohd Yazid Mustafa, in rejecting Ashraf Hafiz’s application, said there was no legal statute to grant his application based solely on the sex change operation.

He said a person’s gender was determined during birth and could not be changed through surgery- Asia News Network
