They are worried as they notice deep cracks and have detected earth movement on the hill slope, about 18 metres high, when their plants at the back of their houses have moved about four metres away from the original location.
Besides that, part of the fencing which the residents erected last year at the foot of the hill has also sunk and moved about two metres away from the original location and might soon collapse.
A resident, Chua Hing Ching, 72, said he and his wife had been living in the housing area for 30 years and were now having a sleepless night each time it rained as they feared the possibility of a landslide.
