KUALA TERENGGANU: Fifty officials of various government departments and agencies in Terengganu will be involved in a reshuffle effective from June 2.
State Secretary Datuk Mazlan Ngah said the reshuffle follows the mandatory retirement of two senior state officials, the State Financial Officer, Datuk Mat Razali Kassim and the Director of State Land and Mines Office, Datuk Tuan Mamat Tuan Ngah.
He denied the reshuffle was carried out following a change in the state leadership after Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman took over as Mentri Besar.

“Mat Razali will be succeeded by Datuk Osman Muda, who is currently the general manager of the State Economic Development Corporation (PMINT).
“The director of the Terengganu Water Supply Company, Datuk Wan Zahari Wan Ngah, will take over the post of PMINT general manager,” he told reporters at a press conference.
Setiu district officer, Mohamad Nor Ibrahim, has been selected to take over from Tuan Mamat as director of the State Land and Mines Office.
Also involved in the transfers are Kuala Terengganu district officer, Wan Nawawi Wan Ismail, who will hold the post of Deputy State Secretary (Development); Marang District head, Samiun Salleh, to Deputy State Secretary (Management); and Principal Assistant State Secretary (Development), Idham Mustafa, to become private secretary to the Mentri Besar.
Other officials affected by the reshuffle include Deputy State Secretary (Development), Datuk Zulkifli Mohamad (appointed Chief Executive Officer of Tesdec Sdn Bhd); Director of Terengganu Sports Council (MSNT), Zainal Abidin Hussin (Principal Assistant State Secretary (Local Government and Housing) and Principal Assistant State Secretary (Sports Special Events, T-Team), Ab Rasid Jusoh as Director of MSNT.
He said five heads of district and town councils as well as four district officers would also be affected by the reshuffle.
“It is hoped that the reshuffle will benefit the management of the state, for the good of the people of Terengganu,” he said. – Bernama
