KUALA TERENGGANU: Police are looking for an older woman who might be responsible for dumping a baby boy on a doormat in front of a house in Kampung Beladau here.
At about 6pm on Friday, a 22-year-old woman said she heard a knock on the door and discovered the five-day-old baby wrapped in a blanket at the doorstep.
Terengganu CID chief Asst Comm K. Manoharan said Saturday she also an old woman running from the house and taking off in car.
“We believe the senior citizen is about 70 years old.
“She was ‘smart’ enough to cover her face with a piece of cloth,” he said.
The old woman shouted out to the young woman to take care of the baby before making her escape in Proton Satria.
“The baby is under the temporary care of the Sultanah Nur Zahirah hospital personnel and he is in good health,” he said. – TheStarOnline
