KUALA TERENGGANU: The police have appealed to the next-of-kin of missing family members to help identify a human skeleton found in Marang yesterday.
The skeletal remains, together with a blue bicycle, dark blue and red t-shirt, “kopiah” and a pair of black slippers, was found about 10am at a rubber plantation in Alor Limbat.
The remains, believed to be that of an individual aged between 50 and 60, are kept at the Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah mortuary.
Marang police chief, DSP Mohd Suhaimi Ali said the victim could have died more than two weeks ago, adding that no missing person report had been lodged so far.
“The case has been classified as sudden death. We hope the public can assist us in our investigations,” he told Bernama today.
