PN To Meet Soon On Bersatu’s Position In Coalition

KOTA BARU: Perikatan Nasional will hold a meeting soon to discuss several issues, including Bersatu’s position within the coalition.

PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the meeting would take place after the completion of the Pas Muktamar.

“We will hold a meeting to discuss relevant issues, including the Bersatu matter.

“We may also discuss Bersatu’s position within PN,” he said after inspecting preparations for the 72nd Pas Central Muktamar at the Kelantan Islamic Tarbiah Centre in Pengkalan Chepa today.

Elaborating further, Takiyuddin said there was no reason for Bersatu to remain in PN when the party clearly no longer wanted to align with the coalition

“Politically, they are still in PN because they have not taken the approach to leave on their own. That is Bersatu’s attitude, even though their actions were clear when they contested using their own logo in the Negri Sembilan state election.

“Furthermore, Bersatu is not a founding party, and there is no reason they cannot be removed from PN.

“Under the PN Constitution, any member can be suspended or expelled,” he said.NST
