Perikatan Nasional (PN) will finalise its seat allocation for the Johor election at a special meeting today.
PN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the meeting will be held at 5.30pm at the Pas headquarters here.
He said the meeting will be chaired by PN Election Director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, while Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan will serve as the committee secretary.
“Each component party will send two representatives.
“The meeting agreed that seat allocation should be decided immediately and obtain the approval of members present.
“We will hold an urgent meeting tomorrow before facing nomination day this Saturday in Johor. God willing, discussions on seat allocation will be concluded tomorrow,” he said.
However, the Terengganu Menteri Besar clarified that PN’s two new component parties, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air and Parti Cinta Malaysia, will not be involved in the negotiations.
Asked about the use of the PN logo in the upcoming state election, Ahmad Samsuri said the matter was not discussed during tonight’s meeting, as well as Bersatu’s position within the coalition.NST
