PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden attended the Umno Youth delegates’ conference today, reciprocating Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh’s visit to the Pas Youth muktamar last week.
Afnan’s attendance at the Umno Youth delegates’ conference at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur was seen as a sign of continued cooperation between the two parties towards strengthening Malay unity.
The Alor Star member of Parliament, who was clad in a white baju Melayu with a green samping, was embraced by Dr Akmal upon his arrival at Dewan Tun Razak.
Both leaders then walked into the hall together with MCA Youth chief Ling Tian Soon and MIC Youth chief Arvind Krishnan.
“Thank you to my friends from Umno Youth for today’s ‘gift’.
“I came to honour your invitation and left with a token of appreciation. What matters most is not the value of the gift, but the sign of friendship and the relationship that we continue to cherish together.
“May this bond of friendship remain strong, and may we make the most of every opportunity we have for the betterment of the faith, the people and the country,” Afnan said in a post on Facebook today.
