PAS wants to see the draft of the proposed Syariah amendments before the Federal Government tables the Bill in Parliament.
Its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said he did not want any contradiction in the Bill, which would be taken over by the Government.
“We do not want to assume that the Bill is final. We need to see the draft first as we do not want them to change what we wanted in the original Bill.
“We want good teamwork for the benefit of the Muslims, while not interfering in the rights of the non-Muslims,” he told reporters after officiating the Malaysian Professional Convention in Putrajaya yesterday. -thestaronline
