Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pas are committed to honouring the mandate given by Sabah voters following the coalition’s victory in the Karambunai state seat.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the party and PN would not squander the trust placed in them, assuring that the coalition would deliver its best service to the people of Sabah.

“PN and Pas promise that we will give our full commitment and will not waste the mandate or the trust given by voters.

“We guarantee the best service for all Sabahans,” said the Kota Baru member of parliament.

Takiyuddin expressed gratitude to voters statewide, especially those in Karambunai, for electing Pas representative Datuk Dr Aliakbar Gulasan as the new assemblyman for the Karambunai seat in the 17th Sabah general election.

He said the victory reflected the acceptance and confidence of the majority of Karambunai residents in PN’s candidate to serve the community regardless of background.

“This win demonstrates the people’s trust in Aliakbar to continue serving everyone in the constituency for a better and brighter future,” he said.

Takiyuddin also thanked the Pas election machinery across all contested seats, led by Sabah Pas state election director Tan Sri Annuar Musa, for their efforts throughout the campaign period.

“Pas remains committed to strengthening its service to the people and upholding the mandate entrusted to the party,” he added.

PN won one out of 73 state seats in yesterday’s Sabah election.
