MARANG – PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang on Friday declined to comment further on the issue of nominating candidates for the post by submitting more that two PAS candidates to the palace.


“I do not want the media to make unfounded statements and it is up to the palace because PAS upholds constitutional monarchy.
“I cannot say. I cannot talk about it anymore after I have handed it to the Sultan as I do not want to precede the statement of the palace,” he told reporters when met at his residence.
Ustaz Abdul Hadi also vehemently refused to name the three candidates submitted by PAS.
He futhermore, refused to confirm whether the original candidate, namely, the PKR president and her deputy Azmin Ali, which were decided at the PAS central committee meeting on Aug 17, were maintained in the list.
