The Youth wing of Kelantan PAS today sought for police to investigate lawyer and activist Siti Kasim for allegedly “inciting” the Orang Asli in their blockades against illegal loggers.

According to the wing’s information chief Nazman Che Ibrahim, Siti’s remarks against the Kelantan state government will purportedly cause tensions between the Orang Asli and the Malay civil servants who are involved in dismantling the blockades.

“All her writings and commentaries on Facebook I saw as a form of slander, accusations, insults, incitement and threats to the Kelantan state government in addition to belittling the civil servants with her actions on the Orang Asli blockade since September,” Nazman was quoted referring to Siti in PAS’ portal HarakahDaily.

“Her acts of incitement were obvious and this would cause more tensions between the Orang Asli race and Malay race who many of them work as civil servants along the blockade crisis.”

He earlier lodged a report against her at the Kota Baru police headquarters in Kelantan.

Nazman also accused Siti of “consistently trying to incite” Orang Asli to hate and oppose the federal and state governments, the Orang Asli Development Department (Jakoa), the Forestry Department and the police.

According to Nazman, Siti must be arrested and investigated before any bloodshed happens.

Last week, 47 Orang Asli had been detained by police for barriers erected at Simpang Petei and the entry route to Pos Bihai in an operation was conducted by the state Forestry Department.-themalaymailonline.
