“The accreditation pass will enable them to access official functions and events of the general election,” he said after a visit to the GE13 media centre at the Terengganu Journalists’ Club, here.
Ibrahim said foreign journalists who wanted the pass would have to undergo a simple process at the Information Department and inform the Foreign Ministry as well.
He said the pass could be ready in two days, which would allow them apply for a separate media pass from the Election Commission.
Ibrahim also advised local journalists and photographers covering the general election to exercise caution to avoid getting hurt in any quarrel between supporters of opposing parties. – Bernama
