KUALA TERENGGANU – Police are forming a special task force dedicated towards tracking down the culprits behind two ATM robberies in the state.

rompakan Sabasun1Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohammad Salleh said the team would comprise experts and special officers from Bukit Aman.

Mohammad said officers from its forensic unit as well as criminal investigation department would be working together to track down the suspects.

He said police will use all elements, including information from Interpol in a bid to hunt down the suspects.

“We need Interpol’s aid in this matter as the suspects are foreigners,” he said.

“We need to get the Interpol’s aid in those cases as the suspect were foreigners”,he added.

On Sunday, seven masked men escaped with RM1.14 million from an ATM and safes at a hypermarket in Gong Badak.

The following day, two suspects blew up an ATM at a bank in Dungun and escaped with RM260,000.-nst
