MARANG : A farmer doing his rounds at his oil palm estate in Kampung Alor Limbat was shocked to stumble upon human skeletal remains this morning.
All that was left on the remains were a T-shirt, a watch and a pair of slippers. A bicycle was also found nearby.
Police were dispatched to the scene after being informed of the discovery.
The remains were sent to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for a post mortem.
Meanwhile, district police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Suhaimi Ali said there have been no missing persons report lodged in Marang so far.
He said those with information on the incident should inform the Marang police station. “Initial investigation suggest that the victim was in his 50’s,” he said.
He said the victim could have been dead for more than two weeks. – nst
