In the SMS, Nur Ain Nasuha Mohd Zabri (photo), the eldest child in the family, said that she was safe but would only return home when she was “successful.”

Her mother, Nor Ismidar Idris, 35, said the words of the message were well arranged and did not sound like her daughter.

The SMS came two days after she and her husband, both van drivers, reported their daughter missing to the police.

Nor Ismidar said that Nur Ain left their house in Kampung Durian Mas here on the morning of April 11 with only the clothes she was wearing and her school examination certificates. Her father sent her to the bus stop at 8.30am and gave her RM50.

When the girl had still not returned home at 11pm, both parents went looking for her and later lodged a police report.

After the SMS, nothing has been heard from or about the girl.

Nor Ismidar is appealing to anyone with any information on her daughter to contact her at 013-9890716.–BERNAMA
