A 21-YEAR-old drug mule pretended to have an epileptic fit to avoid being arrested by police in Kuala Terengganu, reported Berita Mingguan.

The man had tried to avoid a road block in Jalan Kamaruddin and crashed his bike into a car that made a sudden U-turn. He was thrown off his machine.

When police approached him, the man started thrashing about on the road, even foaming at the mouth. However, his ruse was found out by paramedics when they examined him and found him to be faking it.

Police found 50 red pills, believed to be methamphetamine, in a plastic bag tucked under his belt.

District public safety and traffic division chief Asst Supt Khazahari Che Amat said a urine test confirmed methamphetamine use by the man.

‘Upon further investigations, the man admitted being a drug mule since last year and the drugs found on him were to be distributed to street thugs around the city,’ said ASP Khazahari. — THE STAR/ANN
