KUALA TERENGGANU – Police have confirmed that no object resembling an infant was detected in a monsoon drain near the state Public Library even though the search operation was extended to the Terengganu River’s mouth on Monday.
Kuala Terengganu Deputy Chief Supt Suffian Sulaiman said the search operation conducted by the police together with the Fire and Rescue Department was stopped about 3.30pm.
“The search operation resumed at about 7am this morning but until 3.30pm no leads were found,” he told Bernama when contacted here today.
On Sunday a foreign worker claimed that she saw an object, which resembled an infant in a plastic bag when cleaning in the area. – Bernama
