PUTRAJAYA, Aug 9 (Bernama) — Zhao Leji, secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), today paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at his office at the Perdana Putra Building here.
Zhao, who is also the director of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress and a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee, is here on a five-day visit beginning Tuesday.
He was accompanied by a four-member delegation from the Shaanxi Provincial Congress and Shaanxi Provincial Government.
The visit is to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation as well as to introduce possible business opportunities for entrepreneurs from Malaysia and Shaanxi Province.
The visit is expected to provide an impetus to the existing close relations between the leaders, governments and peoples of Malaysia and China.- BERNAMA
