KUALA TERENGGANU – Thieves broke into a hypermarket in Kuala Ibai here and made off with RM8,000 cash yesterday. An employee of the hypermarket who arrived for work at 9.40am was shocked to find that the main door was already open.


It is learnt that the office in the hypermarket was ransacked and that RM8,000 cash, believed to be the collection from the previous day, had gone missing.
Acting district police chief superintendent Suffian Sulaiman confirmed the incident and that the case was being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for break-ins.
Police are looking for the suspects to assist in the investigation.
