

The 5.56mm bullet shells, believed used in M-16 rifles, were found in a plastic bag when police raided the premises about 3pm yesterday.
State Crime Investigation Department head ACP K. Manoharan said police also found a bag containing water meters and faucets, believed to have been stolen.
“Police also found 18 sacks and two containers of cut copper, believed to be telephone cables,” he added.
He said the junkyard owner, aged 45, had been detained to assist police in the investigation.- BERNAMA
