KUALA TERENGGANU — A 15 year-old student pleaded not guilty in the magistrate’s court here Sunday to crashing into a police constable with his motorycle.
He is alleged to have used criminal force by causing hurt to constable Arizan Mohamad,24.
The form three student was charged during closed proceedings.
The charge under section 333 of Penal Code carries ten years’ maximum jail sentence and fine.
Magistrate Aznika Mohd Anas fixed the case for remention on Nov 14 so that the accused could appoint a defence counsel.
The court granted him RM2,000 bail with one surety. Insp Miky Dunstan Muda prosecuted.
Arizan suffered a fractured collarbone and shinbone and ten stitches to the head after two youths on a motorycle crashed into him when avoiding a police roadblock in Jalan Masjid Zainal Abidin at 11.45pm on Sept 15.
