PAS has told voters not to pick Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the upcoming Johor election in its bid to defend Malay-Muslim political power in the state.

In a statement, PAS President Tan Sri Tuan Guru Abdul Hadi Awang said that the party’s central leadership held a special meeting today ahead of the July 11 polls.

He said the committee resolved to mobilise the Pas machinery in the 11 contested state seats and to reach out to as many voters as possible from all walks of life under the slogan ‘Jom Jaga Johor’.

He added that voters should not cast their ballots for PH, especially in constituencies where PH contests against Barisan Nasional (BN) in straight fights.

The committee is also making early preparations to face the Negri Sembilan election on Aug 1. – source NSTP
