PAS is confident of winning seven of the 11 seats it is contesting in the Johor election, despite fielding candidates in only a fraction of the state’s 56 constituencies.

Its vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said the party was optimistic of achieving its target based on its political assessment and electoral strategy.

“We are confident of winning seven seats,” he told reporters after attending a ceramah on current issues here last night.

However, Amar declined to elaborate on the basis of the party’s confidence or identify the constituencies it expected to win.

“Our focus is on the seats being contested by Pas,” said the Panchor assemblyman. Source NST
