

Terengganu CID chief ACP K.Manoharan said the attack emanated after one group of trainees alleged another of breaking their lockers and stealing their belongings.
He said a group of 27 trainees, some of them armed with sticks, went after nine trainees over the allegation at about 3 pm and a fight ensued.
Nine trainees suffered injuries and bruises in the attack, Manoharan told Bernama today.
He said 27 trainees were arrested in a crackdown after a police report was lodged.
They are remanded for four days from yesterday and the case is investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting with the use of weapons. — BERNAMA
