According to Group Chief Executive Officer of TDM, Haji Najma Kamaruddin, “This recognition reflects TDM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the local agri-food sector and supporting the nation’s food security agenda.

The MyGAP certification is an important milestone for TDM Agrobiz in ensuring that every stage of cultivation and agricultural production adheres to best agricultural practices.

Through this initiative, we not only focus on producing safe and high-quality crops but also strive to maintain a stable local agri-food supply to meet domestic market needs.”

Malaysia Good Agricultural Practices (MyGAP) is issued and managed by the Department of Agriculture Malaysia under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM). It is a certification scheme for farms that adopt good, safe, high-quality and sustainable agricultural practices for both domestic and international markets.

Since January 2025, TDM Agrobiz has implemented initiatives to address the frequently disrupted supply of chili, particularly during the monsoon season. By using Rain Shelter Houses (RPH), chili crops are protected from adverse weather conditions, including heavy rainfall and extreme heat.

This approach ensures more consistent production, stabilizes market prices, and reduces dependence on imported products.Encik Zharudin Narudin, General Manager of TDM Agrobiz, said, “The MyGAP certification also strengthens the company’s efforts to improve operational efficiency and the production of high-quality agricultural products.

This recognition acts as a catalyst for TDM Agrobiz to further expand sustainable agri-food projects.
