TDM Berhad (“TDM” or the “Group”) continues to strengthen its commitment to community well-being in collaboration with ‘Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat ADUN Batu Rakit’ under ‘TDM Bersama Masyarakat Batu Rakit’ programme.
The initiative involved a contribution ceremony benefiting 134 asnaf at Dewan Wakaf Catur Maras, Batu Rakit. The programme aims to ease the burden of underprivileged families through the provision of financial assistance and necessities amounting to RM20,000 in total.
The ceremony was officiated by YB Ustaz Haji Mohd Shafizi Ismail, Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) for Batu Rakit. Representing TDM at the event were Encik Zharudin Narudin, General Manager of TDM Agrobiz Sdn Bhd as well as members of TDM’s management team.
The programme commenced with a Tazkirah Dhuha session, emphasising spiritual development, strengthening of faith and the cultivation of moral values. This approach supports holistic well-being encompassing physical, mental and spiritual aspects, in line with the principles of Maqasid Syariah.
In his speech, YB Ustaz Haji Mohd Shafizi Ismail expressed his appreciation to TDM and all agencies involved for their continued commitment to the welfare of the local community, particularly the asnaf community.
“Initiatives such as this not only provide immediate assistance to those in need, but more importantly, they strengthen the spirit of care, empathy and social responsibility within the community.
Such continuous efforts demonstrate that community well-being remains a priority, while reinforcing unity and humanitarian values at the grassroots level,” he said.
Haji Najman Kamaruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer of TDM, reaffirmed the Group’s ongoing commitment as a responsible corporate entity based in Terengganu.
According to him, TDM Bersama Masyarakat programme reflects the Group’s holistic approach to strengthening long-term social well-being through sustained support, strategic collaboration and active community engagement alongside local leaders and relevant agencies, including MAIDAM and ‘Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat ADUN Batu Rakit’.
This initiative also contributes directly to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), particularly efforts to eradicate poverty through assistance to the asnaf community (SDG 1), ensure access to necessities such as food and daily essentials (SDG 2) and support good health and well-being through a holistic approach encompassing both physical and spiritual aspects (SDG 3).
TDM remains committed to expanding and strengthening its community outreach programmes across Terengganu.
