KUALA TERENGGANU – Goalkeeper Ahmad Sharbinee Allawee Ramli might be dropped from the Terengganu squad over his outburst and conduct in their Malaysia Cup encounter with Kedah that turned unruly Saturday night.
The former national goalkeeper, who was rebuked by coach Peter James Butler after his error enabled the nine-man Kedah to equalise 1-1, not only protested against his removal but was also seen to have thrown a water tumbler at the coach.
Ahmad Sharbinee was replaced with second goalkeeper Md Sharmiza Yusof after the equaliser.
Speaking to reporters, Butler said he was disappointed with Ahmad Sharbinee for being disrespectful of him.
Butler said he was also upset on behalf of the people of Terengganu and Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said over Ahmad Sharbinee’s conduct.- BERNAMA
